VETRA represents the feeling of being pulled in too many directions at once. As artists, we are constantly experimenting, evolving, and pushing ourselves to be many things at once. You're always striving toward one goal — but then get pulled away by self-doubt, anxiety, or simply life's responsibilities.

Sometimes your end result isn't what you expected. But that's the best part about being an artist — trusting the process and staying open to experimentation.

This piece was my entry for Ross Draws "Draw Your Portal" Art Contest. I started this challenge planning to draw a celestial/dreamy character, but between the music I was currently listening to and experimenting with gradient maps for the first time - I ended up with a character/portal that I never could have predicted.
